What is Rugby?
Rugby is a contact sport that is a mixture of American football and soccer.
The game is divided into two halves of forty minutes with a ten minutes
halftime break. Traditionally fifteen girls play on each side, with
the team divided up in two groups of forwards and backs. Backs are
usually the faster girls, while forwards are usually the stronger
players, although all players need to be fast and strong. Rugby is a
continuous game, where unlike American football, play does not end
anytime someone is tackled. To play, players can pass, kick or carry
the ball down the field in order to score a 'try'; however, there are
some basic rules that need to be followed.
